Visit

• Visitors should always be signed in and out at the reception desk. If you are expecting visitors, you must receive them at the reception desk. It is not allowed to bring visitors to the room from 23:00-08:00.
• Anyone 18 years of age or older can reserve a room. In each travel party, at least 1 person must be 18 years of age or older. The person who books a trip (also) for other participants is liable for all others he or she registers. With respect to underage travelers, parental or guardian consent must be demonstrated. If a traveler is not yet 18 years of age, we kindly request to contact us by phone.

It is not permitted to

• Carry an oxygen, gas or helium tank. Should this be of medical importance, please notify the reception in advance.
• Cause a nuisance to others, including through loud music, obnoxious behavior or noise of any kind. In case of nuisance, a fine of €200 will be charged.- Staying in the room with more people than the permitted number.
• To receive guests in the room for the purpose of sexual commercial activities.
• Using our parking lot as a carpool place.

Fire Safety

• Smoking is not allowed in the rooms and public areas. It is also not allowed to burn candles, tea lights and/or incense in the room. A first violation of these regulations will result in a warning and a fine of €200. A second offense will result in removal from the hotel.
• If cannabis and/or nitrous oxide is used in the rooms, public areas or on the balcony, a fine of €200 will be imposed and immediate removal from the hotel will follow.
• Covering fire alarms in the rooms will be fined €200 per violation and immediate removal from the hotel.

Check-out time

• The check-out time is 12:00 pm. If you wish to stay longer in the room, this is possible based on availability for a fee from €50 per room. This must be paid immediately upon check-in. Latest check-out time that applies in that case is 17:00.

If you violate the above regulations, you will be placed on our black list. This means that you are no longer welcome at any Van der Valk hotel.

Cancellation policy individual room reservations:
If cancelled up to 24 hours before arrival date (3 p.m.), no fees will be charged (except Blessed Christmas Package). If you cancel within these 24 hours, 100% of the accommodation price will be charged.

Cancellation policy for group and room reservations:

• Up to 6 weeks before arrival date: cancellation free of charge
• Up to 4 weeks before arrival date: 60% of the reservation value
• Up to 2 weeks before arrival date: 75% of the reservation value
• Up to 1 week before arrival date: 85% of the reservation value
• Within 1 week before arrival date: 100% of the reservation value
• No show: 100% of the reservation value

Changes in group size:
Changes to the number of persons stated in the program confirmation will be accepted as follows:

• Up to 4 weeks before effective date: maximum 50% reduction of the original number of reserved guests possible*
• Up to 2 weeks before effective date: maximum 25% reduction of the original number of reserved guests possible*
• Up to 1 week before arrival: maximum 10% reduction of the original number of guests*
  * Hotel Van der Valk Arnhem uses the last stated number of persons, if it does not hear from the customer.
  * An increase in the original number of reserved guests is possible based on availability.

Van der Valk Hotel Arnhem is a smoke free hotel. It is not permitted to smoke at the hotel rooms or in public areas such as the lobby, restaurant and bar. If our guests don't comply with these rules, we have no other option than to charge costs.

Of course smoking is permitted on the terrace. In addition, we have placed ashtrays near the main entrance.

Pets are welcome in Van der Valk Hotel Arnhem (if kept on a leash and under proper supervision) in the public areas. In the Comfort rooms only dogs are allowed (surcharge € 15,00 per dog per night). We allow a maximum of two dogs per room. You are allowed to leave your dog in a crate in your room if it does not bark or squeak. In the restaurant the dog must stay under the table.

On Mariëndaal Estate (114 ha) dogs may run free almost everywhere. This beautiful area is located between Arnhem and Oosterbeek, only 6 kilometers from Hotel Arnhem. The area consists of bushy hills interspersed with vast grasslands and fields. The Tafellaan with 75 meters above sea level is the highest point. From this point you have a beautiful view of the estate and the Betuwe!

Parking is available at Mariëndaal 8 (near the swimming pond) or at Schelmseweg near house numbers 80-86 (near the highest point). Note: both addresses are in Oosterbeek not Arnhem.

Objects that are found in the public areas of the hotel or in the rooms or handed to our front desk, are treated as described in the Uniform Hospitality Conditions:

16.1 - In the building and its appurtenances, objects that are lost or left behind and subsequently found by the guest, should be given to the hospitality company in due time.
16.2 - The hospitality company will be come the owner of objects of which the beneficiairy has not contacted the hospitality company within one year after it was found and returned.
16.3 - If the hospitality company sends items, left behind by the guest, to the guest, this shall occur at the expense and risk of the guest. The hospitality company shall never be required to send these items..

To all agreements entered into by us, the Uniform Conditions of the Hospitality Industry (Uniforme Voorwaarden Horeca, UVH) shall apply.
